A hugely valuable course to provide awareness to individuals and teams who require an understanding about cryogenic liquid gas, called LNG. The course looks at its quickly appreciating appearance in everyday life, its uses, its hazards and risks and the response considerations to LNG emergency incidents.
This training provides awareness to individuals who would be expected to have a principle onsite response role to an LNG incident.
Key content covered on this course includes, but is not limited to:
- understanding the
- properties of LNG
- hazards of LNG
- physical reaction of LNG
- specialist equipment, including PPE
- exclusion and hazard distances and behaviors
- large scale incidents, including BLEVE
- effects and impacts on the response environment
- coaching and mentoring during practical / table top based scenario discussions
Professional responders including:
- Fire & Rescue,
- Ambulance (including Hazardous Area Rescue Teams (HART)),
- MCA, SAR, RLNI,
- Standby vessel or tug crews,
- Emergency Planning Officers
